Description
These bayonets were issued to Airship Battalions (Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte) in 1910, utilising blades from ‘M71/84’ bayonets. This example carries the trademark of ‘Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. Solingen’. There are feint unit markings to the cross guard and two Imperial inspection Marks to the pommel. A scarce bayonet in good condition with correct steel mounted black leather scabbard with unit markings of ’45. R.E.3.53.’ to the rear of the top mount. The wooden grips and leather stitch work are in very good condition. See White & Watts, item No 274 pages 114 & 125. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 237.
