The 8 inch barrel engraved on top London and marked with British proof marks on the side of the barrel. The lock-plate engraved Ketland & Co. Thomas Ketland Senior, was a highly successful Birmingham gun maker. He started his business around 1760 and expanded into the export market around 1790. He died in 1816. The business carried on until 1821. Brass trigger guard and two matching brass ramrod pipes. Complete with a brass tipped wooden ramrod. Brass oval shaped escutcheon to the rear of grip. Calibre approx .60. Overall length 14 inches. Nice crisp action. In good overall condition. Ref 3605. This is an obsolete antique item and is sold as a collectors item only.
