Circa 1840-1860. The lock plate marked with the East India Government rampant Lion. Pistol fitted with a swivel steel captive ramrod. Brass fore-end pipe, trigger guard and butt cap with an Iron lanyard ring. The 6 inch barrel stamped with London proof marks of a crown over V and a Crown over GP. The view mark crown over V was stamped after the rough forged barrel was proofed with a proof load at the Gunmaker's Guild London proofing house. After that the barrel was filed and finished and then proofed again with a load. It was then stamped with the crown over GP. Action in working order. Some dings and scratches during it's working life and one crack to the side of woodwork (Please see photos). Action is a little stiff, otherwise in quite good condition. Overall length 12 inches.
