**RARE**ISSUED BUT UNUSED**WW2 Era British Wilkinson Sword London 2nd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes FS Commando Fighting Knife With Double Etched Blade & Scabbard. Sn 21440 - 21440

2nd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes 'FS' Fighting Knives were introduced in 1941. This is an excellent, rare to find, issued but unused condition, WW2 2nd pattern, FS dagger and scabbard. Examples of FS daggers with etched blades are illustrated in Chapter 7 of ‘The Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife & Other Commando Knives’ by Flook. The dagger has the correct blackened brass knurled handle & oval blackened steel cross guard. The knife has a 171 mm long blued blade with medial ridge. The ricasso is crisply marked with etched and blued panels, 'Wilkinson Sword London' & the reverse 'The FS Fighting Knife'. The blade is clean. Its original scabbard has a blackened brass chape. It has an integral belt loop with elasticated strap & original 4 sewn on leather tabs. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 21440
