A Belgian 6 shot 7mm Lefaucheux double action pinfire revolver made C1865, number 228357. It has a round barrel with octagonal breech 70mm (2¾”), the breech is marked “E. LEFAUCHEUX IN BREVETE”, Liege ‘ELG*’ proved cylinder. The breech, cylinder and frame engraved with scrolls, strapwork and dogs’ heads in medallions. It has a captive ejector rod, folding trigger, and plain antique ivory grips. The pistol’s bore has light staining consistent with age & crisp rifling. It has a triangular post fore sight and the rear sight consists of a grooved hammer.
