Description

INERT DEACTIVATED. This is an unfired German WW2, 1944 dated 7.5cm PzGr39 (75 x 714R) PzGr39 HE (High Explosive) round for the Pak40 (Panzerabwehrkanone 40), the main anti-tank gun used by the German army from 1942 onwards, especially on the Eastern Front. The high explosive projectile retains most of its original green painted finish and has a single iron driving band. The projectile is stamped round its circumference 13e cuc 8 44 (August 1944) 6 over 203 together with a feint black roman numeral III. The projectile is fitted with a alloy KIAZ23 nose fuze which is stamped round its circumference KIAZ23 128 and a waffenampt. There is a delay setting screw on the side of the fuze. The steel cartridge case retains most of its original grey lacquered finish and is headstamped at over 168 wa (Hasag, Hugo Schneider AG, Abteilung Lampenfabrik, Leipzig) 4 (1944 date) 6340St d7.5Pakl40.
