INERT DEACTIVATED. This is a 250 round ammunition belt for the Vickers machine Gun. The belt is made of canvas with two brass ends that are stamped DUNLOP (maker) and 250 (the number of rounds in the belt). .303 on one side and EYELETS MELB (Eyelets, Melbourne, Australia) 1942 (Date) on the other side. The belt is of an oatmeal colour and is in excellent condition with all of the indexing brass inserts present. The belt is filled with 250, .303 chrome/nickel plated Mark 6, 7 and 10 drill rounds with various dates, each distinguished with three vertical flutes picked out with red paint. The price includes UK delivery and no licence is required to possess these inert rounds in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display.
