This a WW2 German 1939 dated 20mm FFM (20x82) HEI (High Explosive Incendiary) Meinengeschloss (M geschloss) aircraft cannon round fitted to various German aircraft during WW2, including the Me109, FW190,various night fighters and bomber aircraft. The brass cartridge case is head stamped P490 (Hugo Schneider A.G., Werk Altenburg) 27g 39 (1939 date) waffenampt 67. The steel copper driving banded high explosive incendiary Meinengeschloss projectile is fitted with a steel nose fuse and retains approximately 70% of its original painted finish of a yellow body (high explosive) and a green band near the nose (incendiary). The fuze is stamped round its circumference ZZ1502 eeo (Deutsche Waffe- u. Minitionsfabriken AG, Posen) 43 waffenampt 100.
