Colt Army Model 1860 Colt Army 44 Calibre display set .44 Revolver

This antique Colt Model 1860 Army is typical of the thousands that were used during the Civil War and afterwards into the 1870's.

This revolver has been incorporated into a display case featuring a flask and mould that are good reproductions, turnscrew and a James Dixon engraved cap tin and oil bottle that appear original.

This Army model has the butt rebate to take a shoulder stock.

A link to history is the initials "RA" scratched into the butt which was a fairly common practice when you consider that at the time this was made it cost the equivalent of an ordinary persons wages for 3 months.

An interesting set that would make an interesting Christmas present for someone interested in the Civil War or "Wild West".
