Thomas Ketland & Co were English gunsmith's based at various addresses in Birmingham & London between 1785-1819. This is a nice Flintlock overcoat pistol by Thomas Ketland. It is 8" overall with a just under 2 ½” screw off cannon barrel which has proof / inspection marks. The barrel’s smooth bore has staining & residue consistent with age & use. The muzzle is slotted for turn key to assist barrel removal. The lock plate is engraved by the manufacturer 'T. Ketland'. It has a steel cock and brass trigger guard with extended tang. It has an undamaged walnut stock. The pistol cocks and dry fires crisply. The price includes UK delivery.
